The Dresser

Nestled halfway along Porchester Place, The Dresser is a lovely boutique, a designer clothes agency specialising in the buying and selling of contemporary/couture second-hand designer women's and menswear on consignment.

Established in 1986, the store attracts socialites, fashion editors and even celebrities looking to sell last season's designer labels. Astute bargain hunters know where to make for when seeking a range of designer labels in mint condition. Armani, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel are among just some of the labels on the clothes which line the racks. The Dresser is owned by Sally Ormsby, ex music business turned stylist with an eye for what looks good.

Among the celebrities who donate their clothes to The Dresser is rock legend Eric Clapton, with the proceeds of his sales going directly to his foundation 'Crossroads' - a treatment centre for alcohol and drug addiction in Antigua for which Sally has been helping to raise funds over the years.
